(Update) Bayer Told to Improve Practice over ADR Reporting Delays, Gets “Verbal Guidance” for Xarelto Survey Fuss

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) on September 29 instructed the Japan pharma arm of Bayer AG to improve its practice over its failures to report 86 side effect cases, which were found in the wake of a scandal surrounding the company’s involvement in patient surveys related to Xarelto (rivaroxaban). Bayer was slapped with “verbal guidance” on the same day for its “improper” detailing activities using a medical paper based on those surveys ...
