Can Wholesalers Bear Distribution Costs amid 90% Discount on Generics?

I was recently struck by the news that newly launched generic versions of Eli Lilly’s antipsychotic med Zyprexa (olanzapine) are being sold to dispensing pharmacies at a whopping 10% of the original drug’s reimbursement prices. Of course, this comes on the back of a fierce price war in the generic space, but I wonder if wholesalers can withstand the burden of distribution costs - outlays required even for rock-bottom products ...
